It All Begins Here
The Walk to Water
The video shows the physical path to the closest local water source in our community. It is a route walked by local families every single day, and it is the exact path our team and caretakers must navigate whenever we need to secure water for our programs, farm maintenance, or compound operations.
In the video, you can see the distance, uneven dirt paths and can imagine the physical effort required to carry heavy jerrycans back to the compound or family homes. This journey represents the daily reality of the surrounding community. When you watch this walk, you are looking at the exact barrier we are working to remove.

Beyond the Weight: The Deeper Crisis of Water
Unfiltered water from public lines is a constant gamble. Waterborne illnesses like typhoid and cholera are persistent realities in this region. When children contract these illnesses, it does more than make them sick. It disrupts their stability, pulls them away from our programs, and saps the energy they need to focus on growth and education. By securing a private, deeply drilled well, we are creating a biological shield for these kids, ensuring that the water meant to sustain them never harms them.
The Health Barrier
Water is the starting point for every single program we run. Without it, our compound operations are tethered to outside schedules and unstable market prices. Clean water on-site means we can reliably maintain our compound farm, safely prepare meals, and offer a consistent environment where kids know their basic needs will be met without interruption. It transforms our compound from a temporary stopping point into a permanent anchor of safety.
A Foundation for Stability
For a child living on the streets, access to clean water for bathing and laundry changes how they are perceived by the public. Cleanliness reduces profiling, prevents harassment, supports health, and restores a sense of personal pride that the streets try to strip away.
By helping us finish this well, you are not just funding pipes and electricity. You are investing in preventative medicine, operational self-sufficiency, and human dignity.
Rewriting the Narrative
The well is drilled and the storage tank is up. We are now laying the final distribution pipes and securing the electrical connections to turn the pumps on permanently.
Thank you for moving us past these difficult walks and into a future of clean, safe health.
The Finish Line Is In Sight
